CHP trains with USCG K-9 team
the California Highway Patrol Golden Gate Division Air Operations Unit participated in joint Federal and State training with the United States Coast Guard K-9 team
On 6 June, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Golden Gate Division Air Operations Unit participated in joint Federal and State training with the United States Coast Guard (USCG) K-9 team. CHP Helicopter 30 (H-30) hoisted the dogs and their handlers from the ground and to aircraft. The training consisted of ground school sessions, a safety briefing and multiple hoist evolutions for each USCG team. Each hoist operation involved a lift of approximately 100 ft (30 m). CHP said it looks forward to continuing a close working relationship with the USCG.
