On 22 January, a Kuwaiti military plane transported humanitarian and relief aid supplies to Syrian refugees in the Lebanese capital city of Beirut. The aid packages contained food, clothes, blankets and cleaning products, according to the Kuwait Red Crescent Society’s envoy in Lebanon, Dr Musaed Al-Enezi, and are part of a support programme being carried out by the people of Kuwait in partnership with the Society and the Lebanese Red Cross. Refugees in Lebanon had to weather freezing temperatures recently, said Al-Enezi, making the need for aid supplies particularly urgent.
