Polish Navy flies heart to Warsaw
On 1 September, a Polish Naval Air Brigade crew took off to transport a donor heart to a patient in Anina.

On 1 September, a Polish Naval Air Brigade crew took off in an M28B Bryza transport plane with medical staff onboard in order to transport a donor heart to a patient at the Cardiac Surgery and Transplant Clinic in Anina.
The Brigade received the request for the mission the day before from a clinic in Warsaw and assigned the task to 43 Naval Air Base in Gdynia Babie Doły. The flight crew consisted of Captain Jarosław Jastrzębski (pilot-in-command), Captain Marek Buczek (co-pilot) and Petty Officer First Class Henryk Gamrot.
The aircraft took off from Gdynia at 19:59 hrs. After a 65-minute flight, it landed at Warsaw-Okęcie Airport, where the medical team from the Anina clinic boarded. The Bryza took to the air again at 22:25 hrs, heading for the 44 Naval Air Base in Siemirowice, where the medical team received the donor heart. The Bryza took off the next day at 03:43 hrs to make the return flight to Warsaw. On arrival, the heart was offloaded and taken to Anina.
