129th Rescue Wing looks back on 2014
The 129th Rescue Wing has shared a video highlighting its achievements in 2014.
This March, the 129th Rescue Wing, a unit of the California Air National Guard, shared a video highlighting its achievements in 2014. Based in Silicon Valley, the 129th’s mission is to train and prepare to perform its wartime mission of combat search and rescue anywhere in the world. It also performs a wide variety of civilian search and rescue missions. The video includes footage of the Guardian Angel pararescue team that dropped into the Pacific Ocean 1,000 miles off the coast of Mexico to save the life of a child who fell ill during a family sailing trip with a difference. Just another day at the office for the 129th Rescue Wing.
