Aviation Specialties Unlimited, Inc., (ASU) will bring a new night vision display booth to Helitech International Expo and Conference that will enable attendees to test night vision goggles. "It is one thing for people to be able to see and touch the goggles, but it is entirely different for attendees to be able to put them on and experience them using nighttime simulation,” said ASU President Jim Winkel. “Interest continues to grow in Europe on the use of night vision goggles for civilian use that includes law enforcement, emergency medical services, search and rescue and other operations. Our goal with the new booth and roundtable discussion is to raise awareness on how night vision goggle use enhances the safety of night time operations worldwide.”
ASU will also host a roundtable discussion, “Shaping the Future of Night Vision Operations in Europe,” from 9:00 am to 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 17, in room F004. The NVG roundtable discussion will feature a panel of experts from around the world. The discussion will include NVG inspection and certification, STC modifications, training, and other related topics. The panel will discuss regulatory policies and procedures and their impact on operations.
