Fifth helicopter delivered by Russian Helicopters
Russian Helicopters has announced that it has delivered its fifth Ansat helicopter to the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) in medevac configuration.
Russian Helicopters has announced that it has delivered its fifth Ansat helicopter to the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) in medevac configuration. This is the final delivery of the contract between the two parties for the delivery of five aircraft in 2018.
The new helicopter will be operated by Russian Helicopter Systems (RVS) and will be used for delivering medical aid to citizens within the county, especially in hard to access areas. The priority project was approved by the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects.
“Ansat helicopters is serving to save people in seven regions of Russia,” said Managing Director of the Kazan Helicopter Plant Yuri Pustovgarov. “The number of lives saved is increasing every time, because thanks to the operation of medical Ansats the rule of the ‘golden hour’ is observed – this is the time for which the victim can be most effectively helped. For this, our helicopters with medical modules have everything you need.”
Pustovgarov added that the company is hoping to produce the first Ansat helicopters for export in 2018. The Ansat is a lightweight, twin engine helicopter available in a number of configurations. The medical configuration was certified for use in 2015, and Ansat says that it meets all international standards for medical aviation.
