First Turkish fire contract for Erickson Air-Crane
US-based Erickson Air-Crane has announced the signing of its first aerial firefighting contract in Turkey.
US-based Erickson Air-Crane has announced the signing of its first aerial firefighting contract in Turkey. Under the 10-month contract, the global aviation services provider – also the manufacturer and operator of the heavy-lift S-64 Aircrane helicopter – will work with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in partnership with Pan Aviation, providing diversified aerial firefighting services, with 500 guaranteed flight hours. One Aircrane helicopter will be provided.
Udo Rieder, Erickson’s CEO, commented: “This new contract represents an important step in expanding Erickson’s unique firefighting capabilities and services to other regions. Our partner in Turkey, Pan Aviation – with whom we’re teaming to provide the full range of diversified aerial firefighting services – is an established aviation company in Turkey with experience providing services to the Istanbul [Metropolitan] Municipality.”
