The UK Coastguard lifted an injured fisherman off his vessel after it caught fire off the coast of Land’s End.
The UK Coastguard lifted an injured fisherman off his vessel after it caught fire off the coast of Land’s End, UK. On 27 June, the Coastguard received a report of a fishing vessel that had suffered a fire and that one of the crew members had sustained injuries in the incident. The Coastguard search and rescue helicopter from Newquay, plus a lifeboat from Sennen Cove Lifeboat Station, were both dispatched to rescue the fisherman.
He was airlifted to Treliske Hospital and is said to be in a stable condition.
