Hercules and Jayhawks in medevac shout
US Coast Guard aircrews, along with personnel from Coast Guard Fire and Rescue, Kodiak Fire Department and LifeMed Alaska, engaged in a medevac operation from the 590-ft (180 m) cargo vessel Copacabana, south of Kodiak, Alaska on 21 April. Crewmen onboard the vessel had been injured after the ship was hit by a large wave, and two MH-60 Jayhawk helicopters and an HC-130 Hercules plane were dispatched. A LifeMed Alaska jet was also involved in the mission.
