Latitude gains STC for ENode unit

Latitude Technology has announced that it has received a Transport Canada issued Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) SA18-121 Issue 1 for its ENode engine data acquisition unit.

British Columbia, Canada-based aviation technology designer and manufacturer Latitude Technology has announced that it has received a Transport Canada issued Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) SA18-121 Issue 1 for its ENode engine data acquisition unit.

The STC supports approval for installations on DHC-6 Series 100, 200, and 300 aircraft and is also built to support engine trend monitoring (ETM), flight data monitoring (FDM), and fuel management programmes.

Latitude explained that the unit’s data acquisition capabilities allow for the tracking of engine parameters and can correct for atmospheric conditions. These features allow for users to analyse and detect the health and stability of individual aircraft engines. Early hot section deterioration and bled leaks are among some of the issues that can be detected early using the ENode, and this in turn can help keep aircraft in the air for longer, with less unexpected downtime.
