The annual members meeting of the European Aero-Medical Institute (EURAMI) was held today at the International Travel Insurance Conference in Barcelona, Spain. During the meeting, the assembled members voted in a new board and president.
Standing for the five places on the board were a total of 15 candidates. Among the candidates were each of the interim board members, who were appointed earlier this year following the surprise resignation of the Institute's previous board and president.
The new board members were announced as Laurent Taymans of l'Aeromedicale, Belgium; Mark Jones of Air Ambulance Worldwide, US; Pascaline Wolfermann of FrontierMEDEX, UK; Terry Martin of Capital Air Ambulance, UK; and Bettina Vadera of AMREF Flying Doctors, Kenya. The new board members then selected Taymans as EURAMI president, Vadera as co-chair and Jones as treasurer.
