Sensor sales confirmed for Israel, US
FLIR units for USCG HC-27Js, CONTROP units for Israel Police.
On 19 June, the US Department of Defense confirmed that FLIR Surveillance Inc. has been awarded a $17-million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the procurement of a maximum of 19 Star SAFIRE 380-High Definition (HD) systems, in support of the US Coast Guard HC-27J plane fleet. The contract includes associated HD FLIR cabling, controller units, software, and mounting hardware, technical engineering services and logistics support. Work will be performed in Wilsonville, Oregon and Patuxent River, Maryland, and is expected to be completed in June 2022, the Department said.
On the same day, CONTROP Precision Technologies announced its sale of iSky-20HD and iSky-50HD optical/infrared camera units to the Israel Police, to be installed on new helicopters and integrated with Churchill Navigation Mission Systems.
