Texas, US-based DAC International has received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for its LCR-100 AHRS, which is for the Citation 560 EXCEL/XLS aircraft. The LCR-100 is a gyro-compassing, northing-finding unit, employing fibre optic gyro technology, blending inertial and satellite data to provide a hybrid navigation output. It is used on helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. DAC said that the LCR-100 was designed to be a drop-in replacement for the LCR-93, leading to minimal downtime and modification when it comes to installation.
Cisco Hernandez, President of DAC International, commented: “We’re really excited to be able to now offer this STC to our customers worldwide. [It] allows units to be exchanged separately or at the same time, thus making it much easier for the operators to incorporate.”
