The US Coast Guard rescued three fishermen after their vessel caught fire one mile east of St Catherines Island, Georgia, US.
The US Coast Guard rescued three fishermen after their vessel caught fire one mile east of St Catherines Island, Georgia, US.
The vessel, Sea Puppy, contacted the Coast Guard Sector Charleston Command Centre at around 15:00 hrs on 7 February to report that the boat was on fire and taking on water. A Coast Guard Station Tybee Island 29-ft response boat and an Air Station Savannah MH-65 Dolphin helicopter were launched to save the crew.
The Dolphin crew arrived at 16:30 hrs and hoisted the fishermen onboard before taking them to Air Station Savannah where an EMS crew was waiting.
