The US Navy ship USS Sampson has lent two of its MH-60R Seahawk helicopters to aid the evacuation efforts in New Zealand after several earthquakes have hit the country. The helicopters are being used to distribute relief and evacuate residents.
A USS Sampson CO said that he was ‘proud to be part of the broader effort to bring relief to those affected by this tragedy’.
