The Weber County Sheriff’s Office were contacted about an injured hiker who was heard calling for help. The 20-year-old man had fallen around 25 feet after climbing some rocks and large boulders, local authorities said. The man suffered compound leg fractures, and could have died if it not for another individual hiking at the same time.
LifeFlight helped rescue the patient, transporting him to a nearby hospital. Weber County S&R was joined by Ogden Fire and EMS, Heavy Rescue, Intermountain LifeFlight and a Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter were all involved in the mission.
