China certification received for Bell 505
Bell Helicopter has announced that the Civil Aviation Administration of China has granted regional certification for its Bell 505 Jet Ranger X. The company called this a ‘major milestone’ for the helicopter’s international expansion; it will be delivering over 110 aircraft to China.
The Bell 505 is already making waves in various countries around the world, with demo tours ongoing in Europe, Asia and North and Latin America. Incorporating advanced avionics technology that put its capabilities beyond previous members of the Jet Ranger family, its open cabin is configurable for various different missions and payloads, and can accommodate four passengers or be adapted for cargo.
“We are thrilled to receive this certification in one of the fastest growing markets for the Bell 505,” said Patrick Moulay, Bell’s Senior Vice-President, Commercial Business – International. “This achievement marks the Bell 505’s continued international success and broadens its global presence.”
