KCW to supply composite components for new Sikorsky helicopter
KCW has announced a new statement of work which will see it supply complex composite components and assemblies for the Sikorsky Combat Rescue Helicopter.
Wichita, US-based Kaman Composites (KCW) has announced a new statement of work which will see it supply complex composite components and assemblies for the Sikorsky Combat Rescue Helicopter.
“We are pleased to continue supporting Sikorsky and the US Military,” said Mark Withrow, Vice-President and General Manager at Kaman Composites US “Our unique ability to collaborate with our partners to understand and address specific design and manufacturing requirements enables us to continue to secure this statement of work, and cements Kaman’s standing as an integral Sikorsky supplier.”
KCW, a subsidiary of Kaman Aerospace Group, will supply apertures, fairings, stowage boxes, and cover assemblies in their package for the new state-of-the-art HH-60W ‘Whisky’ Combat Rescue Helicopter. The helicopter entered the final assembly line in February 2018 and is currently due to complete its first flight two months ahead of schedule.
