Community Paramedic course offered by IAFCCP
The IAFCCP is offering a new online course, titled the Community Paramedic Certification Review Course.
The International Association of Flight and Critical Care Paramedics (IAFCCP) is offering a new online course, titled the Community Paramedic Certification Review Course.
The course was created alongside Columbia Southern University, US, and will focus on applying concepts related to critical thinking that are needed to do well on the International Board for Speciality Certification’s (IBSC) Community Paramedic Certification Exam.
The Community Paramedics certification helps to increase access to basic services through the use of specially trained EMS providers in an expanded role. The role helps to expand primary care or public health services in non-urgent settings by using EMS personnel to perform patient assessments.
Those taking the course will be given 24/7 access to a 10-week, self-paced, interactive review course.
“Our goal in offering this interactive online course is to fill a gap in Community Paramedic education,” explained Robert Smith of Atrium Health in Charlotte, North Carolina, and
IAFCCP’s Board-appointed Community Paramedic Representative. “Community Paramedics now have unlimited access to quality education, and at a competitive price-point.”
