Another NAAMTA accreditation for ER24
The National Accreditation Alliance Medical Transport Application (NAAMTA), has once again awarded ER24 Emergency Medical Services (ER24) NAAMTA Medical Transport Accreditation. ER24, a private emergency medical care provider that currently operates from 59 bases throughout South Africa, received the reaccreditation for their fixed-wing air aeromedical program.
NAAMTA is an accreditation standard-bearer for the medical transport industry, recognised for its International Organization for Standardisation 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification and the implementation of quality practices in its accreditation program. NAAMTA awarded the medical care provider the alliance membership after distinguishing that ER24 demonstrated the ‘highest degree of professionalism and safety in providing quality patient care’.
“We are very proud to have ER24 as an elite member of the NAAMTA Alliance,” said Nancy Purcell, Director of Clinical Operations at NAAMTA. “Their energetic passion for the patients they care for and the excellence in how they conduct their programme are reflective of the fundamental tenets of the NAAMTA Standards. It is rewarding to see accreditation in action and ER24 exemplifies the vision of NAAMTA Accreditation.”
Alastair Lithgow, Program Director for fixed-wing operations at ER24, said: “Gaining this NAAMTA reaccreditation demonstrates ER24’s commitment to quality patient care of the highest standards in aviation care. The accreditation elevated the already high standards that we had set for ourselves in our continual strive for excellence in patient care and aviation safety.”
