The estimated death toll varies between sources with one, a ‘semi-official Fars news agency’ according to Reuters, putting the number at nine, including those injured in a car accident. However, the countries official news outlet, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), puts the number at 10.
The cause of the crash is said to be under investigation, with storms and heavy rainfall given as a possible early cause for the accident by the IRNA.
