USCG responds to Panamanian ship
The US Coast Guard medically evacuated a crew member of cargo vessel Daio Papyrus on 19 March. The Panama-registered vessel was situated 10 miles (16 km) west of Coos Bay, Oregon. An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter was dispatched to rescue the crew member, who reportedly suffered a severe laceration to his head.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked to Blacktown shortly after 14:00 hrs.
