US reservists renew their MAFFS training in Idaho

Colonel Bryan Allen, MAFFS Air Expeditionary Group commander and 146th Operations Group commander, was interviewed during the annual training and recertification for the Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System (MAFFS) crews at Boise, Idaho, US on 21 April. Approximately 70 US Air Force reservists and two MAFFS-equipped C-130 Hercules took part in the training. The Air Force said that the training included both classroom and flight certification sorties in preparation for potential wildfire suppression missions in support of the US Forest Service.
