Canaries rescue exercise
A rescue exercise was organised and directed from the Canaries Air Rescue Coordination Center on 9 June.
The Spanish Air Force has reported on CANASAR/MORSA 2017, a rescue exercise that was organised and directed from the Canaries Air Rescue Coordination Center on 9 June.
The event involved more than 300 personnel along with aircraft and maritime vessels belonging to the Spanish Air Force and Civil Guard, the Portuguese Air Force, as well as civilian rescue organisations from the Canary Islands.
The scenario for the exercise was an in-air collision between two aircraft over the south of Fuerteventura, allowing the interoperability between rescue organisations to be rehearsed on land and at sea.
