CAMTS EU invites comments on accreditation standards
Interested parties are being asked to submit their comments on the standards by 15 August.
The Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems Europe (CAMTS EU) has posted a draft of its accreditation standards on its website www.camtseu.org and is inviting comments and suggestions. CAMTS EU is a ‘sister organisation’ to US-based CAMTS.
Eileen Frazer, executive director of CAMTS and CAMTS EU, explained: “CAMTS EU standards work to bridge cultural differences and government restrictions and laws between countries to assure a high level of service to all patients. CAMTS EU accreditation addresses policies and practices so that patients receive state-of-the-art medical care during transportation with the utmost level of safety to maximise the medical outcome.”
Interested parties are being asked to submit their comments on the standards by 15 August to help the CAMTS EU board assure the ‘strongest standards in the programme’.
