Inverness Coastguard helicopter helped to locate a dog that had been swept away. The service received a call at 10:45 hrs on 15 October from the Cockerpoo’s owners after it was swept out to sea from a beach at Cummingston, Scotland.
The helicopter crew had been training in the area, and immediately diverted their flight to help search for the four-legged casualty. The dog was soon located and picked up by a Moray inshore rescue boat, based at Findhorn. The dog was pulled from the water and then returned to its owners.
The helicopter was then able to return to its training session.
