The diver got into trouble after ascending too rapidly from a dive. A life guard boat operated by the LASD Special Enforcement Bureau Tactical Medics was able to pull the diver out the water, but due to the pressing needs of their condition, the helicopter airlifted the diver to the Catalina Island Hyperbaric Chamber for treatment.
