Midlands Air Ambulance renews contract with Babcock
The UK’s Midlands Air Ambulance Charity (MAAC) has renewed its flight operations contract with Babcock
Under the new contract, Babcock will continue to provide MAAC’s flight crew and helicopters for another 10 years. The company will also provide engineering and ground support as part of the arrangement.
“We’re delighted to be extending our long-standing partnership and further enhancing the service as we look to the future together,” said Chloe Barker, Managing Director of Babcock’s UK aviation business.
“Babcock has been supporting the charity since its inception, and we are proud of our role in helping to deliver essential helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) across the region,” she added.
MAAC, founded in 1991, provides emergency air ambulance services to England’s central Midlands region from its three bases in Cosford, Strensham, and Tatenhill.
MAAC also recently moved its clinicians and charity staff into a new combined airbase and headquarters.
