New leader at Norsk Luftambulanse AS
Syver Leivestad has resigned as CEO of Norwegian air ambulance provider Norsk Luftambulanse AS.
Syver Leivestad has resigned as CEO of Norwegian air ambulance provider Norsk Luftambulanse AS (NLA AS). Chairman Lars Kobberstad will step into the role until a new CEO is hired. NLA AS said that the resignation came following agreement between Leivestad and the organisation’s board. He will continue working for the company, but in a different role. The firm noted that Leivestad had led the NLA AS through a period of strong growth, during which it won a contract to operate all of the bases of the national air ambulance service in Denmark, as well as a contract to operate a new air ambulance base at Evenes.
Kobberstad commented: “Syver Leivestad has played an important role in the development of NLA AS and we thank him for his efforts in the five years he has led the company. Now, the company [has moved] into a new phase that requires a different type of leadership skills, but I’m glad that Syver will contribute his expertise in the future.” The board has begun the process to find a new CEO ‘to lead the company into a new and important phase’.
Norsk Luftambulanse AS is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Stiftelsen Norsk Luftambulanse.
