USCG names new Ancient Albatross
On 6 April, a ceremony took place at US Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans.
On 6 April, a ceremony took place at US Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans, officiated by Admiral Paul Zukunft, Commandant of the Coast Guard, during which Rear Admiral Jake Korn passed the title and traditional accoutrements of the Ancient Albatross to Vice Admiral Charles Ray. The Ancient Albatross is a traditional title awarded to the Coast Guard aviator who has racked up the most years of service; there are two categories, one for commissioned officers and one for enlisted officers.
