Bond rebranded as Babcock

Bond, the UK-based mission critical services helicopter operator, has changed its name to Babcock. Parent company Babcock International Group described the brand change as the final step in the process of Bond’s acquisition, which began in 2014, when Avincis was taken over by Babcock. Going forward, the Bond companies will be referred to simply as Babcock.
Bond was one of the brands operated by Avincis, which itself was rebranded as Babcock Mission Critical Services in February. Babcock International Group said it plans to rebrand the other brands, Australian Helicopters, INAER, and Scandinavian AirAmbulance, later this year.
Babcock Mission Critical Services CEO for Northern Europe, David Plester, said: “Babcock is a business which is 34,000 people strong with an unrivalled range of specialist skills and expertise. Everything we do is underpinned by our commitment to safety. This rebrand underlines our capabilities as part of a FTSE-100 company but does not signal any changes at all to our day-to-day operations. Our people, capabilities, high levels of customer service and absolute focus on safety remain the same.”
