The Royal Thai Navy has received the first two of five military multi-role H145M helicopters from Airbus Helicopters. A delegation from the Royal Thai Navy and Airbus Helicopters Germany CEO Wolfgang Schoder participated in a handover ceremony at Airbus Helicopters’ site in Donauwörth, Germany. The pair of aircraft will remain in Germany for pilot training at Airbus Helicopters’ Training Academy. All five helicopters are scheduled for delivery in Thailand by September 2016.

The Royal Thai Navy’s H145Ms are equipped for roles including search and rescue, with hoists, weather radar and internal long-range fuel tanks.
