Pakistan Army orders medevac planes
A contract announcement from the US Department of Defense has revealed that the Pakistan Army is to receive six new fixed-wing aircraft in aeromedical evacuation configuration.

A contract announcement from the US Department of Defense has revealed that the Pakistan Army is to receive six new fixed-wing aircraft in aeromedical evacuation configuration. Cessna Aircraft has been awarded a $14 million firm-fixed-price contract for the single-engined planes, comprising two Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX models and four Cessna T-206H Stationairs, along with sustainment support and associated training. The 24-month sustainment package includes of spares, tooling, and support equipment for each aircraft. The manufacturer will also provide pilot and maintainer training for the Pakistan Army personnel. The contract is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016.
