Able Aerospace services signs contract renewal with Airbus Helicopters

The new contract renews a previous agreement naming Able as an approved Airbus Helicopters Maintenance and Repair Center. Able has provided maintenance services on more than 7,000 components across multiple aircraft platforms in the Airbus Helicopters fleet.

Operating from a 250,000-square-foot headquarters in Mesa, Arizona, Able offers more than 10,000 FAA-approved repairs and overhauls and in-house specialized services ranging from electroplating, chemical processing, machining and grinding to NDT testing, hydraulics and bearings services. Together with a team of more than 350 mechanics, engineers and support teams, Able completes over 95 per cent of all jobs on site.

Meanwhile, Airbus Helicopters has recently submitted a bid to the New York Police Department’s request for proposal for two new helicopters to partially replace their aging fleet of rotorcraft.
