Aero-Dienst to acquire second Challenger 650
The Nuremberg-based operator will use the aircraft to provide long-distance medical transportation on behalf of its parent company, ADAC
German aircraft operator Aero-Dienst will add a second Challenger 650 fixed-wing aircraft to its fleet, according to an announcement by the aircraft’s manufacturer, Bombardier.
The aircraft will be fitted for medical evacuation (medevac) operations, and will be used to support the air ambulance and patient repatriation services of Aero-Dienst’s parent company, ADAC.
“Aero-Dienst, with its extensive experience in ambulance operations for ADAC, is looking forward to introducing the second Bombardier Challenger 650 aircraft under our AOC [air operator certificate],” said Dr Oliver Kosing, Managing Director of Aero-Dienst.
He emphasized the aircraft’s advanced intensive care equipment, as well its spacious cabin with stand-up height, enabling optimal in-flight medical care.
ADAC Luftrettung previously completed the world’s first long-term air rescue project using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in April last year.
