Aero-Dienst provides support to keep air ambulance Learjet mission-ready
Aero-Dienst is providing support for customers despite ongoing international flight restrictions with its Mobile Repair Team (MRT)
After an engine change on a Learjet45XR, the aircraft of Luxembourg Air Ambulance (LAA) is once again ready for its worldwide air ambulance repatriation services.
Through a remote troubleshooting session, the Aero-Dienst team was able to identify the engine problem together with Honeywell and the LAA technicians, and decided to send it to the in-house engine shop in Nuremberg for repair. Aero-Dienst was able to organize a rental engine for the time of the repair and ship it to the customer base. The MRT was then sent to Luxembourg to complete the engine change on site.
Horst Lenhard, Technical Director at LAA, said: "We are grateful to the entire Aero-Dienst team for the smooth and efficient AOG support. We have been working with Aero-Dienst in the airframe, engine and avionics maintenance for many years. In such special moments it is good to know that we have such a reliable partner by our side.”
