Technology will support emergency management teams when dealing with fire, floods and other natural disasters

AGAIR has selected Overwatch Imaging’s AI-Enabled software and TK7 smart sensor to provide real-time, multi-spectral imagery, augmented with critical intelligence in support of aerial fire suppression and surveillance activities. AGAIR brings an exciting new tool to their portfolio of capabilities supporting emergency management teams when dealing with fire, floods and other natural disasters, continuing their commitment to bringing innovative solutions to the changing demands of bushfire.

Time is of the essence when fighting wildfires

The Overwatch-AI Fire software is accelerating the delivery of time-critical intelligence supporting wildfire detection and suppression.  Overwatch Imaging’s smart sensors rapidly process multispectral thermal imagery to locate heat and accurately delineate active fire perimeters and hot spots to increase situational awareness. The software enables near real-time updates supporting accurate forecasting, delivering precise fire intelligence.

Overwatch Imaging’s technology processes data at the edge, reduces data volumes and allows agencies and their crews to focus more on the response and less on the technology. “Overwatch is leading the field of developing mission specific AI for time critical missions. Our edge-hosted models offer a whole host of benefits for rapid initial attack. We’re even developing a control module to take command of legacy full motion video equipment.” said Greg Denton of Overwatch Imaging.  “Widespread adoption is going to really make an impact on the global wildfire threat."
