Air Evac Lifeteam adds second aircraft to its base in Jackson, Tennessee
The second rotorcraft will be used to reinforce air medical services across predominantly rural western Tennessee
US-based air ambulance provider Air Evac Lifeteam has added a second helicopter to its base in Jackson, Tennessee, with the aim of improving coverage in the west of the state.
The exact model of rotorcraft has not been divulged, although the expansion means that air medical coverage for residents of Madison County and the 20 largely rural counties that surround it has effectively been doubled.
This change is expected to massively improve access to emergency medical care in those areas.
It follows the acquisition of a new Bell 407GXi by fellow US air ambulance provider Mercy Air for its base in Kern County, California, earlier this month.
