Air Methods delivers helicopter to Skyryse

Skyryse, a developer of flight operating systems, has received delivery of an Airbus H130 helicopter from collaborator Air Methods.

The company will install its integrated flight operating system (FlightOS) in the Air Methods helicopter, which will serve as an operational aircraft in support of the company’s ongoing certification program with the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Skyryse is currently looking to have FlightOS approved by the FAA for both the Airbus H130 and H125.

Air Methods announced its partnership with Skyryse in 2022, when it invested $5 million of Series B funding into Skyryse to support the continued development of FlightOS.

In return, Skyryse will retrofit over 400 of the operator’s aircraft with FlightOS – including EC130, AS350, and Bell 407 helicopters, as well as fixed-wing Pilatus PC-12s.
