Airbus worker at Spanish plant treated for Covid-19
Airbus advised employees at its Spanish Getafe plant to self-quarantine after one of the facility’s employees was diagnosed with Covid-19
The company said it advised a 14-day self-quarantine for anyone who has been in direct contact with the worker, who is currently receiving medical treatment.
Airbus said it’s ‘following medical procedures’ relating to social interactions, travel and visits to its operations.
The Getafe plant produces horizontal stabilizers for the A350 and A330, as well as the A320 family, and builds the tail-cone for the A350.
A spokesperson said: "Airbus confirms that an employee at its Madrid (Getafe) site in Spain has tested positive for Covid-19 and is now receiving medical attention. Health and safety are our number one priority. Airbus is following medical protocols from global and national health authorities and has implemented staff guidelines in relation to social interactions, hygiene, travel and visits to Airbus."
