AirMed International wins AAMS fixed-wing award
AAMS president and CEO Rick Sherlock: “AirMed International has undergone several important quality improvements to the overall condition of their fixed-wing transports"
The Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS) has honoured US-based AirMed International with its 2017 Fixed Wing Award of Excellence, sponsored by LifePort. The award recognises an individual or team that has made an outstanding contribution to a fixed-wing transport service in enhancing safety, education, leadership, and patient advocacy by developing or promoting the improvement of patient care in the medical transport community.
AirMed said its global critical care transport professionals utilise a dedicated fleet of medical transport planes that includes Beechjet, Cessna Citation, Hawker and Learjet aircraft, along with more than 20 King Air turboprops, located at approximately 30 bases.
AAMS president and CEO Rick Sherlock said: “AirMed International has undergone several important quality improvements to the overall condition of their fixed-wing transports, and the organisation continually recruits and develops the best and brightest for their team. Importantly, under the leadership of president Denise Treadwell and director of operations Darby Wix, the company added a highly qualified expert who is dedicated solely to all aspects of safety.”
Denise Treadwell, AirMed president, commented: “Every day, the entire AirMed team demonstrates loyalty, integrity and empathy as a family, while upholding our enviable reputation as an industry leader. Our core values of trust, ownership, passion, individual relationships and compassion are displayed daily and are evident in the feedback from those we touch.”
