AMREF Flying Doctors partners with NCBA Group
The partnership gives customers of the Kenya-based financial services group access to a 10-per-cent discount on emergency medical transport services across East Africa
African financial services conglomerate NCBA Group has signed partnership deal with AMREF Flying Doctors, which will enable NCBA to offer medical evacuation service discounts to its customers.
The one-year renewable deal, signed on 30 March, will enable NCBA customers to enjoy a 10-per-cent discount on both ground and air medical emergency transport across Eastern Africa.
Countries covered under the deal include Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zanzibar.
Tirus Mwithiga, Group Director for Retail Banking at the NCBA Group, said: “With the return to normalcy after the Covid-19 pandemic, we want our customers to continue with their business or leisure travel with the confidence that they have a partner that they can count on.”
Stephen Gitau, CEO of AMREF Flying Doctors, added: “We are pleased to partner with NCBA Bank to guarantee safe evacuation services of its clients in the event of a medical emergency. This is a noble initiative by NCBA Bank, and we welcome the bank’s clientele to subscribe to our evacuation services, which come in handy in emergency situations.”
Founded in 1957, AMREF Flying Doctors is one of Africa’s largest providers of medical evacuation services, conducting operations across the continent, as well as to Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
