AMS Heli Design wins FAA approval
The US Federal Aviation Authority has granted a Supplementary Type Certificate for a new emergency medical services interior to AMS Heli Design
The US Federal Aviation Authority has granted a Supplementary Type Certificate for a new emergency medical services interior to AMS Heli Design. The Advance Life Support System interiors will work in the Leonardo AW119 and AW109 helicopters. Weight has been minimised through the use of composites, and AMS Heli Design says that it is removeable from the aircraft within 10 minutes for cleaning and fast change over in service provision. Fully customisable, the interior includes electrical outlets, a high-capacity oxygen system, medical air and suction provision and a litter support turret with an articulating stretcher that allows patients to be loaded feet-first before being turned around so that the stretcher is parallel to the helicopter doors.
