Apollo Hospitals and TechEagle to create medical drone network
Indian drone logistics firm TechEagle has partnered with healthcare provider Apollo Hospitals to create a medical drone delivery network
The diagnostic drone delivery (D3) service will be used to transport liquid biopsy samples from collection centers to diagnostic laboratories within around 10 minutes, replacing traditional ground-based transport that could take hours.
The initiative, which will employ TechEagle drones, was announced by Apollo Hospitals’ Joint Managing Director, Dr Sangita Reddy, at the Transform Health with IT (THIT) 2025 conference in New Delhi.
It is expected to significantly improve the speed of diagnostics at Apollo Hospitals facilities.
Digital healthcare specialist 19Labs, in partnership with IDB Lab, is working to establish a similar medical drone network in the South American nation of Guyana.
