Archer Aviation to build vertiport at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi
The vertiport will accommodate the firm’s electric aircraft, and will be used for organ deliveries and non-emergency patient transport
Electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft developer Archer Aviation has formed a partnership with Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi to establish a hospital-based vertiport at its facility in the United Arab Emirates.
The vertiport will provide direct eVTOL access to the hospital, for both time-critical organ transport and non-emergency transportation.
The partnership is part of Archer’s broader plan to launch commercial operations in Abu Dhabi.
Archer delivered its first Midnight eVTOL to the US Air Force for evaluation last year.
