ASU’s newly released TSO’d E3 NVG will be showcased at HAI HELI-EXPO

ASU’s cutting-edge TSO’d E3 night vision goggles (NVG) technology will be showcased in an interactive display at HAI HELI-EXPO in Anaheim, California, from 26 – 29 February.

“After years of research, development, and hard work by the entire ASU team, we are pleased to announce that we are taking orders for our TSO’d E3 NVG,” said ASU President Joseph Estrera. “We believe E3 will be a significant game changer in our industry. Bringing it to HAI HELI-EXPO will allow industry professionals to see and feel the difference first-hand.”

The E3 goggles introduce several enhancements to the legacy aviation goggles that have existed for more than four decades. Key improvements include a 30% reduction in total head weight, alleviating neck strain. It features robust military-grade construction using durable aluminum and titanium materials. Intuitive adjustments further enable enhanced look-around viewing experiences. Notably, E3 maintains backward compatibility with existing ANVIS mounts and battery packs.

At HAI HELI-EXPO, ASU will be encouraging attendees to explore E3 NVG’s features through an interactive display, experiencing the weight reduction and ergonomic advancements firsthand.

“While we showcase E3’s innovative features, we also want attendees to actively engage with the technology,” noted Vice President of Sales Dan Meyer. “Our hands-on interactive display offers a tangible experience, allowing visitors to appreciate E3’s capabilities and its impact on redefining industry standards.”

ASU has also announced that its Director of Operations, Tony Tsantles, has been selected as an instructor for a professional education course featured at HAI HELI-EXPO. Tsantles is a retired US Army Black Hawk Instructor Pilot with over 23 years’ aviation experience, both civil and military. The course, ‘E3 NVG – Enlightening Your Future’, covers new NVG technology and safety in nighttime aviation.

According to ASU, course attendees will enhance their awareness of NVG capabilities, understand myths in accident case studies, and learn solutions for spatial disorientation. Those interested can complete their registration through the HAI HELI-EXPO website.

Late last year, ASU won the ‘Coolest Thing Made in Idaho’ contest hosted by the Idaho Manufacturing Alliance in partnership with Idaho Power, for its E3 lightweight aviation NVG.
