Aviation Specialties Unlimited celebrates sale of its 100th E3 night vision goggles
Night vision goggles are increasingly used in firefighting and helicopter emergency medical services operations
Those who were among the first 100 adopters of the Aviation Specialties Unlimited (ASU) E3 night vision goggles (NVG) include US Customs and Border Patrol, PJ Helicopters, Heli Austria, HELI-FLIGHT JLR, Delaware State Police, Seminole Hard Rock Support Services, Collier County Helicopter Operations, and Helimax Aviation.
The sale of the 100th E3 NVG highlights their increasing recognition among aviation professionals worldwide. According to ASU, their performance, reliability, and user-centric design have leveraged their position for pilots operating in diverse operational environments.
The E3 Lightweight Aviation NVG from ASU is 30% lighter than legacy goggles, features P45 white phosphor image-intensifying tubes and is compatible with legacy ANVIS mounts and battery packs.
Dr Joseph Estrera, ASU’s President, commented: “The driving force behind the E3 NVG was our unwavering dedication to enhancing safety and effectiveness for aviators operating in low-light conditions. We recognized the need for a night vision solution that not only delivered superior performance but also prioritized user comfort and ease of use.”
The first 300 adopters of E3 NVG receive a two-year warranty and free inspections.
Last year, ASU won the ‘Coolest Thing Made in Idaho’ award for the E3 NVG at an annual contest celebrating National Manufacturing Day.
