Bell celebrates opening of 525 helicopter Experience Center
Center, located at Stavanger Airport, Norway, is intended as an innovative space to demonstrate the capabilities of the Bell 525 in SAR, oil and gas, and military operations
Bell Textron has partnered with Norwegian Aviation & Defense Group to establish the facility, which includes a mockup 525 with interactive workstations.
This follows the Bell 525 collaboration announcement with Norwegian oil and gas company Wintershall Dea Norge, to bring enhanced helicopter operational safety to the North Sea.
Patrick Moulay, Senior Vice President of Commercial Business at Bell, commented: “Norway is a key market for Bell, and we are proud to establish our presence here. We look forward to hosting key stakeholders to experience the Bell 525 and see firsthand how this 21st century aircraft will revolutionize customers’ operations.”
Ole Petter Bakken, CEO of Norwegian Aviation Defense Group, added: “This center is an exciting step next step for Norway. We will be able to showcase to customers the new technology the Bell 525 can provide for the energy sector, defense, and SAR markets.”
Bell’s international presence continues unabated; in July 2021, the first Bell helicopter was delivered to its first corporate customer in Ethiopia.
