Bell completes 505 promotional tour of Mexico
Bell Textron has concluded the tour of a Bell 505 parapublic-configured helicopter around Mexico
The aircraft made stops in 11 states and was showcased to over 20 parapublic customers. The tour aimed to build interest in the aircraft type from state and municipal police forces – something that Bell stated it has been successful in doing.
John Ramos, Managing Director for Latin America at Bell, said that he is “thrilled” with the tour’s impact, and that he is “eager to see the growth of the 505’s use in Latin America”.
The Bell 505 is already used by various law enforcement agencies in the USA, including California’s Stockton and Sacramento Police Departments.
The rotorcraft’s parapublic / law enforcement configuration features “skid gear, forward/aft hard points for mounting equipment, and a TrakkaBeam searchlight”.
The Los Angeles Fire Department also acquired a Bell 505 last year.
