Black Widow teams up with Spidertracks
Spidertracks will supply its Spider X hardware for use in the modernization of UH-60 Black Hawks
Black Widow Helicopters has announced a partnership flight tracking and fleet management solution developer Spidertracks. Under the arrangement, Spidertracks will support Black Widow’s modernization programs for the UH-60 Black Hawk.
Black Widow confirmed that every future modernized aircraft of the type it produces – known as the UH60A/L Black Hawk – will be fitted with Spidertracks’ Spider X flight data recording (FDR) and two-way communication hardware.
This innovative piece of hardware developed by the Spidertracks team is packed with forward-thinking tech that delivers a high-fidelity attitude and heading reference system (AHRS) and other flight data, enabling aircraft owners and operators to see where and, more importantly, how their aircraft are flying.
“We are very excited to embark on this journey with Spidertracks,” said Todd Dunphy, Head of Corporate Development at Black Widow. “Their robust and reliable track record in the industry was what truly drew us to them.”
Black Widow recently ordered 12 shipsets of GPMS International’s Foresight MX Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) in April 2023.
